The 60-person trial used 500 mg/day of oral capsules. The significant differences concerned the right face and sun-exposed left forearm. The lozenge pilot enrolled 30 women and had no control group. Another 12-week controlled trial found some site-specific or subgroup improvements, while overall pigmentation comparisons were not significant.
